Circumstances of Death

Prohibition Agents Thomas Corridan and Robert Wells were riding in a Government vehicle to meet up with other agents planning a liquor raid in San Jose, CA, when they became involved in an auto accident in San Mateo County, CA.  Agents Corridan and Wells were rushed to Mills Memorial Hospital.  Agent Corridan later died without regaining consciousness, while Agent Wells recovered from his injuries.

Background

Agent Corridan joined the Bureau of Prohibition on November 7, 1927, only seven days before his untimely death.
