Meet the Acting Special Agent in Charge

Gordon Mallory has served as the Acting Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the ATF Miami Field Division since February 2025. Acting SAC Mallory is a 24-year veteran of ATF, having served in diverse assignments throughout the United States. Through these vastly differing assignments, Acting SAC Mallory has developed an expertise in creating and managing multi-agency partnerships and violence impact initiatives.

As the Acting SAC of the Miami Field Division, Mr. Mallory oversees all criminal investigations and industry operations matters in Southeast Florida, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands and supervises a workforce of 140 ATF employees. Mr. Mallory joined ATF in 2001, after serving as a police officer with the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Acting SAC Mallory was first assigned to the Kansas City, Missouri, Field Office, where he partnered with local, state and federal agencies to identify and disrupt criminal organizations driving violence in the region, leading to numerous successful, multi-defendant investigations of organized crime drug trafficking organizations, as well as criminals trafficking firearms and explosives in the western half of Missouri and eastern Kansas. In 2017, Acting SAC Mallory was assigned as the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) Coordinator. Mr. Mallory was responsible for two OCDETF regions within the West Central and Southwest, which consisted of 14 states. In 2019, Mr. Mallory began his leadership career when he was promoted to Group Supervisor in the Kansas City Field Division, where he supervised an enforcement group of special agents and task force officers who specialized in complex long-term undercover infiltration investigations targeting criminals driving the violence in Kansas City’s most dangerous neighborhoods. In November 2022, Acting SAC Mallory was promoted to the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Kansas City Field Division, where he oversaw all criminal enforcement operations in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and the Kansas City Metropolitan area. 

Acting SAC Mallory is a graduate of Webster University - St. Louis with a Master's in Management, and he holds a Bachelor's in Business and Administration from Saint Louis University.
