ATF Offers $5,000 Reward for Information About Richmond Bus Arson
RICHMOND, Va. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division announced today a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for setting fire to a Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) bus on May 30. This crime occurred during the recent unrest. ATF is working alongside the Richmond Police Department (RPD), who are the lead investigating agency.
At approximately 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, Richmond Fire Department (RFD) responded to the area of W Broad and N Belvidere streets in front of a drug store, where it had been reported that a GRTC bus was on fire. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, processed the scene, and the arson case was turned over to RPD for further investigation.
