ATF Offers $25K Reward for Information in DC Triple Homicide
Total possible reward up to $110K
WASHINGTON — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Washington Field Division announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the Northwest, D.C., triple homicide of Donnetta Dyson, 31, Keenan Braxton, 24, and Johnny Joyner, 37.
This is in addition to the reward of up to $10,000 offered by the FBI and up to $75,000 reward offered by the Metropolitan Police Department, who is the lead investigating agency in this case, bringing the total to a possible reward up to $110,000.
On Sept. 4, MPD officers responded to the 600 block of Longfellow Street Northwest for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene where they found three victims were deceased, and they transported three other victims to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
“This is a senseless act of violence that took the lives of three young adults and hurt others in the process. Our sincerest condolences go to the families who are forced to endure this horrific and unacceptable act,” said ATF Washington Field Division Special Agent in Charge Charlie J. Patterson. “ATF will continue to collaborate with our local, state and federal partners to disrupt the cycle of criminal acquisition and the misuse of firearms. We will continue to call upon all community members and leaders to provide any information that will assist us in locating and holding all involved accountable for these crimes and attempting to destroy our communities.”
