Rockford Man Sentenced to 132 Months in Federal Prison on Charges of Distribution of Cocaine Base

ROCKFORD —A Rockford, Ill. man was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge John Z. Lee on a federal drug trafficking charge. ROMEO TRAMMELL, 32, was sentenced to 132 months in federal prison, to be followed by 3 years of supervised release. Trammell pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 4, 2020.

According to the written plea agreement, Trammell distributed approximately 24.8 grams of cocaine base in the form of crack cocaine to an individual in Rockford on Apr. 5, 2018.

The sentencing was announced by John R. Lausch, Jr., United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois; Kristen deTineo, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives; and Daniel O’Shea, Chief of the Rockford Police Department.

The government was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Talia Bucci.
