ATF Seeking Identification of Suspect in 2013 Gun Store Theft

DETROIT — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is hoping the public can help identify a suspect responsible for the burglary and theft of multiple firearms and firearm silencers from Schupbach’s Sporting Goods store located at 141. W. Pearl Street, Jackson, Mich.

The burglary happened May 8, 2013. The unknown individual entered Schupbach’s Sporting Goods around 4:30 p.m. and concealed himself inside the business. After the store closed, the male suspect came out of hiding and stole two firearms and 15 firearm silencers. To date, none of the stolen items have been recovered. The individual may be a suspect in another unrelated crime.

The subject is believed to be a white male, with a stocky build, brown colored collar-length hair that covers his ears. He was wearing a long dark colored shirt, dark colored cargo pants, a dark colored watch on his left wrist, and light-colored shoes or boots.
